How To Delete Digilocker Account.
Are you fed up using your Digilocker account and as such you wish to delete (close) or deactivate your account?

There are various reasons why you may wish to delete (cancel) your Digilocker account among all of them is email spamming by the company.
Meanwhile, Digilocker is an Online Application designed and developed by Govt of India to provide the service related to securing, uploading and sharing the personal documents of its residents. The online application allows its users to create or edit account information, browse through the service offered by the website, upload your documents on the portal and share it with the requester.
How To Delete Digilocker Account
Once you have created your Digilcoker account using your Aadhaar number and email ID, it cannot be deleted as of now.
But you can delete the documents uploaded by you like the photocopy of voters ID, Driving license, etc.
To delete the uploaded documents in Digilocker
Log In to your Digilocker account
Go to Dashboard – Uploaded documents
In the list of uploaded documents, click on the delete icon to remove the document from your Digilocker database.
On the other hand, the issued documents like Digital Aadhaar card, driving license, CBSC Mark sheets pulled by you cannot be deleted again.
In the future, the delete account option may be introduced. But as of today, you cannot delete your Digilocker account completely.
How To Delete the Uploaded Documents in Digilocker
Step 1. Log In to your Digilocker account
Step 2. Go to Dashboard – Uploaded documents
Step 3. In the list of uploaded documents, click on the delete icon to remove the document from your Digilocker database.
On the other hand, the issued documents like Digital Aadhaar card, driving license, CBSC Mark sheets pulled by you cannot be deleted again.
In the future, the delete account option may be introduced. But as of today, you cannot delete your Digilocker account completely.
How To Refresh DigiLocker Account
Simply go to the Issued Document section in your DigiLocker account and click on the “Refresh” icon corresponding to your Driving License to get the updated data.
How To Change DigiLocker Username
Username once created in Digilocker cannot be changed in the current version of the application.
How To Activate an Inactive DigiLocker
Step 1. Visit the Digilocker website.
Step 2. Click on Signup to proceed.
Step 3. Enter your Mobile Number which must be linked with your AADHAR and click on Continue.
Step 4. Enter the One Time Password (OTP) received in your mobile number and click on verify.
Step 5. Set your Username and Password of your choice and click on Signup.
Step 6. Now Enter your AADHAAR number. Mark the declaration box and click on Submit.
Step 7. Enter the OTP received in your mobile number and click on the verify button
